UK’s Department for International Trade (DIT) will hold the India – UK Createch Summit in Mumbai on February 6. The keynotes, panel sessions and workshops will feature thought-leaders from business and government to discuss the role technology and creativity can play in shaping the future of multiple industries; and how the UK and India are collaborating to develop technologies and innovations with global impact.

This conference will celebrate and explore the convergence of creativity and technology – Createch – and the innovations produced by its application across a range of the film, music, healthcare, immersive technology, industrial design and sport sectors.

The day will also see the finale of the TECH Rocketship Awards 2017-2018, celebrating some of India’s talent in technology scale-up companies. Baroness Fairhead, Minister of State, DIT will launch the conference and HRH The Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex, KG, GCVO will attend as a special guest.

The summit will be the centrepiece of a month-long series of events promoting trade and partnership between the UK and India during January and February 2018. Each event will focus on how technology-driven innovation is enabling creative output and delivering new products and services. Createch month will connect over 100 visiting British companies from the film, music, healthcare, immersive technology, industrial design and sport sectors with Indian companies, investors, and central and state-level government officials who are interested in partnering with leading innovators in design and technology.

Sir Malcolm Grant, Chairman, NHS England said,”I am delighted to lead the upcoming delegation to India featuring some of the leading innovators from within the NHS and its private sector suppliers and partners. In celebrating 70 years of the NHS, we must recognise some of the greatest innovations of the past, present and imminent future.”
