Indian Association of Dermatologists Venereologists and Leprologists to organise ‘Dermacon 2020’
To be held on 30th January, 2020, Dermacon aims to educate people about treatment for leprosy as one doesn’t deserve a life of disability in isolated and inhuman conditions
The Indian Association of Dermatologists Venereologists and Leprologists (IADVL) is organising ‘Dermacon 2020’ on 30th January, 2020 in Pune. The insights on laws and rules that are discriminatory against people suffering from leprosy will be shared by experts. The aim of the conference is to educate people about treatment for leprosy as one doesn’t deserve a life of disability in isolated and inhuman conditions and stop the steroid abuse. It will also make people aware that suffering from Vitiligo, Psoriasis and HIV are not psychologically devastating diseases in dermatology.
Dr P Narasimha Rao, President (National), Indian Association of Dermatologists, Venereologists and Leprologists (IADVL) 2019- 2020; Dr Kiran Godse, President Elect (National), Indian Association of Dermatologists, Venereologists and Leprologists (IADVL) 2020- 202; Dr Uma Shankar Nagaraju, Secretary General, Indian Association of Dermatologists, Venereologists and Leprologists (IADVL) 2019- 2020; Dr Narendra G Patwardhan, Organising Chairman, Dermacon 2020 and Dr Pradyumna Vaidya, Organising Secretary, Dermacon 2020 will be present on the ocassion.
To speak on leprosy, Dr Vivek Pai, Director, Bombay Leprosy Project; Dr Vittal Jadhav, who has been in service towards treating leprosy patients, Pune and Dr Anil Patki, Leprosy expert from Pune will also be marking their presence.
