CSIR-CSIO certifies CoronaOven

CoronaOven becomes only UV disinfection product in market devised to combat ongoing Coronavirus health emergency, which has been evaluated, certified by ICMR-approved institution

CoronaOven — a novel sanitisation chamber designed and brought-to-market by Log 9 Materials Scientific, has been certified for appropriate UV-C light intensity and safety from The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR)-empanelled Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, Central Scientific Instruments Organisation’s (CSIR-CSIO) laboratory. Following this, CoronaOven becomes the only UV disinfection product in the market devised to combat the ongoing Coronavirus health emergency, which has been evaluated and certified by an ICMR-approved institution. 

Additionally, Log 9 recently partnered with another ICMR-approved laboratory, ie. Dr Dang’s Path Lab, Delhi to test the efficacy of CoronaOven on different microorganisms (a series of Gram positive and Gram negative bacteria, drug resistant fungus, etc.) that are difficult to eradicate from surfaces. The study, which was spearheaded by Dr Devjani De, Head of Microbiology, Dr Dang’s Path Lab and Member Executive Committee, Indian Association of Medical Microbiology, concluded that the product demonstrates 100 per cent anti-microbicidal activity (ability to kill microorganisms) against the tested organisms within its irradiation exposure time of ten minutes.
