Aster MIMS Kozhikode implements Qure.ai’s AI-powered stroke care solution
Qure.ai's qER suite of solutions, an AI-enabled head CT solution is reportedly capable of processing CT scans in under three minutes, and ensures rapid assessment and diagnosis, crucial during suspected stroke cases
Aster MIMS Hospital in Kozhikode has partnered with Qure.ai, a provider of artificial intelligence solutions for medical imaging. This collaboration introduces an innovative AI-powered Hub and Spoke model aimed at expediting diagnosis and improving care coordination for stroke-suspected patients across its spoke sites, the hospital said in a press statement.
Qure.ai’s qER suite of solutions, an AI-enabled head CT solution is reportedly capable of processing CT scans in under three minutes, and ensures rapid assessment and diagnosis, crucial during suspected stroke cases. The Qure App facilitates real-time communication of patient information and radiology images to multi-disciplinary teams at the hub site (Aster MIMS), streamlining interventions.
The Hub and Spoke model connects resource-challenged spoke hospitals to a central hub hospital, optimising healthcare infrastructure and fostering seamless care coordination. Under this collaboration, Aster MIMS Calicut, serving as the hub hospital, will link with four spoke hospitals located on the outskirts of Kozhikode. The network anticipates treating approximately 1500 stroke patients annually, including 600 patients from the connected spoke sites.
