Concierge healthcare platform WhiteGlove unveiled, aims to aid families manage healthcare for ageing relatives abroad
The full-service healthcare concierge helps people living in the US coordinate healthcare for family members living abroad
WhiteGlove, an end-to-end concierge healthcare platform for international care coordination, was unveiled by Anand Prakash, a Dropbox, LinkedIn, and IIT Bombay alumnus. WhiteGlove’s mission is to provide a streamlined approach to managing healthcare for loved ones living outside the United States, with an initial focus on India where significant opportunities exist due to the healthcare challenges faced by a large number of Indian immigrants managing care for family members abroad.
WhiteGlove will launch its services beginning in India, given its increasing ageing population. Simultaneously, with many Indians migrating to the US, there is an emerging need to ensure proper care for their ageing parents back home. Like most medical systems, India’s medical system lacks outcome-based and preventative healthcare, other challenges also include physician shortages and the lack of electronic health records, which often lead to inefficiencies and improper care.
Anand Prakash, Founder and CEO at WhiteGlove stated, “With my parents living in India, it has always been my dream to address these challenges. My passion, coupled with the large senior population and existing healthcare gaps, makes India the ideal place to launch our services. The market size and significant need for better healthcare management further solidify India as the perfect starting point for our services.”
WhiteGlove’s service begins with digitising the patient’s health history and conducting a full-body workup to determine the patient’s baseline healthcare needs. The WhiteGlove team identifies major health challenges and develops a personalised roadmap to manage these issues. The company then selects trusted and licensed providers from top healthcare systems, schedules appointments, coordinates travel, offers 24/7 telehealth consultations, and supports medication management. It also offers a digital patient portal that logs the patient’s healthcare journey and provides this data to family members living abroad. The waitlist is now open and has already secured 400 families in two months.
Prakash further added, “Looking ahead, we’re focused on expanding preventative services, including whole-body scans and early diagnosis tools, to catch health issues before they become critical. Our vision is to build the largest primary care network in the world, setting a new standard for preventive and personalised healthcare management.”
