Paras Health announces 500-bed hospital in Ludhiana, operational by 2028

Expansion to Punjab marks Paras Health’s first hospital in the state, bolstering its North India footprint

Paras Health has announced plans for a new 500-bed hospital in Ludhiana, with a foundation stone laying ceremony held today. The hospital is slated to begin operations in the 2028 financial year and will be the group’s first facility in Punjab. The Ludhiana hospital will provide multispeciality healthcare services and be equipped with modern technology and equipment.

With this addition, Paras Health’s network will grow to 10 hospitals across North India, Bihar, and Jharkhand. The organisation’s total bed capacity is projected to rise from 2,135 beds as of March 31, 2024, to 2,935 beds by March 31, 2029.

Dr Dharminder Nagar, Managing Director of Paras Health, said, “Paras Health is committed to providing accessible and quality healthcare ever since the first hospital became operational in 2006. We are now looking to expand our services further in North India with this new 500-bed hospital in Ludhiana. I am especially glad to bring tertiary care to the people of Punjab, ensuring they receive advanced medical treatment close to home.”

Paras Health focuses on offering specialised medical care in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities while maintaining affordability. Its clinical specialties include cardiac sciences, oncology, neurosciences, gastro sciences, orthopaedics, and joint replacement, along with transplant programmes for liver, kidney, and bone marrow.
