Sancheti Advanced Orthocare Hospital launches Pune’s first smart ward with AI-powered patient monitoring
New facility integrates Dozee’s technology for remote monitoring and early warning systems, enhancing patient safety
The Sancheti Group of Hospitals has launched its latest facility, the Sancheti Advanced Orthocare Hospital. This 300-bed medical centre introduces the region’s first “Smart Ward” initiative, featuring Dozee’s AI-based Remote Monitoring System (RMS) and Early Warning System (EWS).
The Smart Ward equips non-ICU ward beds with remote monitoring systems, enabling contactless continuous tracking of vital parameters and early warning alerts. Dr. Parag K. Sancheti, MD and Chairman of the Sancheti Group of Hospitals, stated, “As leaders in healthcare, our commitment extends beyond treatment; it encompasses the relentless pursuit for advancements that redefine patient care.” He added that this integration supports a shift from reactive medical responses to a preventive and proactive care model.
Dozee’s system monitors vital parameters such as heart rate, respiration rate, blood pressure, SPO2 levels, temperature, and ECG. Its AI-driven Ballistocardiography (BCG) technology enables contactless monitoring, while its Early Warning System predicts patient deterioration up to 16 hours in advance, allowing healthcare professionals to take timely action. A study published in Frontiers in Medical Technology highlights the system’s impact on patient outcomes, operational efficiency, and safety.
Kaushal Pandya, India Head at Dozee, remarked, “Sancheti Group’s commitment to a patient-centric approach, pioneering smart and sustainable healthcare aligns seamlessly with Dozee’s mission to bring advanced patient safety tools to the forefront. This strategic integration ensures that continuous monitoring and early intervention become standard practice, significantly enhancing patient safety and outcomes.”
The Sancheti Group’s adoption of advanced technologies reflects its long-standing ethos of “Serving Patients is Serving God,” a philosophy rooted in the vision of its founder, Dr. K. H. Sancheti. Known for ethical practices and world-class orthopaedic care, the group aims to set a benchmark for sustainable and innovative healthcare practices.
This new initiative underscores Sancheti’s focus on redefining patient care standards and offers a model for integrating technology to improve clinical outcomes and operational efficiency.
