‘Implementation of PPP model is a welcome move that will boost the healthcare system of India’
Finance minister has made a good attempt on making the healthcare affordable and accessible, especially for the people residing in rural areas. The ‘Health for All’ initiative by the government will help patients avail free drugs and diagnostics. It is also good to know that more AIIMS are coming up in different states. The announcement of e-visas will help boost medical tourism. I feel that the implementation of PPP model is a welcome move that will boost the healthcare system of India. However we feel that allowance of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in the healthcare sector would have been beneficial.
