Alere India, a subsidiary of the US-based Alere Inc., a leading provider of near-patient diagnostics and health information solutions, launched its latest range of haematology solution, Alere h 560 at the 54th annual conference of Indian Society of Haematology and Blood Transfusion. At the conference, leading haematologist Dr MB Agarwal launched Alere h 560.
Alere has forayed into both the major segments of hematology machines, namely 3 PD and 5 PD analyser. The Alere h 380 is a 3 part differential analyser, which reportedly has a very effective processing speed of 80 Samples/hr and has been developed keeping in minds the requirements for startup to middle workload labs. Alere h 560 or 5 part differential system will cater to the requirements of bigger labs and chains and has more reportable parameters and features which include:
- FDA approved
- Provides complete 5 part differential counts with 24 parameters and 2 Scattergrams and 2 histograms.
- Compact, Ergonomically designed Alere h 560 caters to all the main requirements of the modern hematology laboratory
- Uses advanced technology to separate out abnormal cells populations

In India, Alere has been catering to the infectious disease tests, cardio-vascular range, toxicology/ DOA Range of Products and women’s healthcare range and is now diversifying and entering into new segments as well. In India it is already representing Tosch for immunoassay, Helena for electrophoresis and coagulation range. The company is now making a foray in haematology segment.
