Fortis Healthcare’s organises an award ceremony for its nurses

Fortis Healthcare organised ‘WINNURSE’, an annual award ceremony that recognises and celebrates outstanding nursing performance.

‘WINNURSE’ recognised and felicitated the best of nursing talent at Fortis, believing that nursing excellence is an important dimension to patient care. Over 600 nurses participated in the contest from across 26 Fortis hospitals in India.

Malvinder Singh, Executive Chairman, Fortis Healthcare, Aditya Vij, CEO, Fortis Healthcare, Vanessa Ng, Global Chief People Officer, Fortis Healthcare International, Ashish Bhatia, COO, Fortis Healthcare, Harshvendra Soin, Chief People Officer, Fortis Healthcare gave away the awards.

There were 18 popular poll awards and 12 category awards which included Fortis Best Nurse, Fortis Best Nurse Supervisor from across hospitals in India. The Popular Poll awards included ‘Fortis SOS Award’, Fortis Helping Hand Award’ and Fortis Nightingale Award’. Abanti Gopan, an external nursing consultant who is well respected in the fraternity, adjudicated the winners. The participants went through a rigorous process spanning three months. The important parameters included annual performance ratings, patient feedback, discipline and attendance, internal assessments – written tests, practicals and vivas on technical skills and their customer orientation.

Commenting on the occasion Aditya Vij, CEO, Fortis Healthcare, said, “Fortis firmly believes that our over 6500 strong committed nurses are the backbone of our hospitals, spread across India. These nurses, despite varied challenges, constantly provide the much needed compassion and care towards patients and play a significant role in saving valuable lives. We truly appreciate their dedication and admire their noble spirit.”
