Future Generali Health insurance has entered into an agreement with online service provider, Medeel.com. Under this agreement, customers of Future Generali, seeking any kind of surgical or hospitalisation care, will be able to seek services of Medeel.com. While Future Generali will help its customers reach out to various hospitals through Medeel.com, the latter will be responsible for providing customised treatment packages for the patients. Such services are currently restricted to Delhi NCR. But any patient willing to travel to Delhi can avail services of Medeel.com.
Medeel.com is a services startup company which provides value added services to patients, primarily to those who are seeking any kind of hospitalisation for their medical care. Key service of Medeel.com is to procure customised packages for patients’ treatment from multiple hospitals. This allows patients to compare services and cost of treatment across hospitals and select the hospital best for them; without patient need to physically visit and consult with each hospital.
In addition to these services, Medeel.com also arranges for local transport and stay facility for out-station patients. Since last one decade, many entrepreneurs in India have tried to solve problems that customers are facing in India, and Medeel.com is one such. Though the Medeel.com services looks promising, its acceptability in the patient community needs to be tested with time.
