Hinduja Hospital awarded QCI-DL Shah National Quality Award

Hinduja Hospital received the prestigious QCI-DL Shah National Quality Award (financial year April 2012-March 2013) for the initiative Six sigma study on Reducing delay in cycle time of STAT pharmacy items under the category of Hospital / Healthcare services – Big. Hinduja Hospital has been practicing Six Sigma since 2003 and this award comes as recognition of the same. The award was presented by Arun Maira, Chairman of QCI and Member of Planning Commission of India at National Quality Conclave by Quality Council of India (QCI) in New Delhi on March 8, 2013.

The QCI – DL Shah Award recognises successful projects of an organisation that have linked quality initiatives to real term financial gains and competitiveness. Emphasis is on savings achieved, methodology, impact and sustainability factors. The competing projects were evaluated on statistical tools / techniques and deployment of methodology. The judging process involved presentation by the hospital to a jury of statisticians and later an on-site inspection.
