NH Mysore to conduct its first surgery next week

The new Narayana Hrudralaya (NH) hospital at Mysore will conduct its first operation next week said NH Chairman, Dr Devi Shetty. The unique hospital is built on a budget of Rs 25 crore and has all the modern facilities for heart surgery, brain surgery and cancer treatment. Commissioned six months ago, the hospital was completed in record time by L&T. The information was given by Dr Shetty, while speaking about the new health information system network deployed across NH group hospitals. He said that IT penetration in healthcare is around 10-15 per cent in India and there should be more investment for IT implementation in healthcare. He said that NH had invested heavily in health IT to deliver safe healthcare to its patients. “It is the first hospital in India built on a competitive budget providing high-end healthcare,” said Dr A Raghuvanshi, MD and Group CEO of the NH Group.
