Nova Specialty Surgery is acquiring a majority interest in Excel Hospitals, Kanpur. Excel, a multi-speciality hospital chain in Kanpur is promoted by Dr Jamaluddin Ahmad.
As part of the first phase of its expansion plans, Nova will begin the renovation of the hospital and in the interim will run operations in the hospital. Nova had recently raised Rs 300 crore from Goldman Sachs. The new Nova super-specialty facility will provide world-class healthcare services with the help of the renovated facility which is expected to have enhanced facilities and equipment including state-of-the-art operation theatres in various specialties like Laparoscopy, Gastro Intestinal Surgery, General surgery, Bariatric Surgery, Orthopedics, ENT, Ophthalmology, Gynecology, Pediatrics, Vascular Surgery, Plastic Surgery , Urology, Oncology and Pain Management.
