Funding in healthcare dips in Oct 2024, reaches $72 mn

As per data provided by Traxcn.com, funding in the sector fell by 64 per cent from Spetember 2024

Funding in the healthcare and lifesciences space fell 64.36 per cent to $72 million in October 2024 from $202 million in September 2024. However, this is a small uptick of 5.26 per cent from the $68.4 million raised in October 2023.

Together, early-stage and seed-stage rounds, contributing 21.9 per cent and 30.4 per cent respectively, raised around half of this year’s funding in October. Late-stage rounds raised 47.6 per cent of the remaining funding.

HealthifyMe and Primus Life reported the biggest funding rounds in October 2024, raising $20 million each. Khosla Ventures, Fireside Ventures, and General Catalyst were the most active investors during the period.
