June 2024 funding in lifesciences sector drops by 57.6 per cent from May

As per Tracxn.com, 56 per cent of the funding in June 2024 was through early-stage rounds

Total funding in the healthcare and lifesciences space was $120 million in June 2024. The funding saw a drop of 57.6 per cent when compared to the previous month (May 2024). However, funding in June this year rose 12.2 per cent from the $107 million raised in June 2023.

In terms of stage-wise funding in June 2024, 56 per cent was through early-stage rounds, followed by PE (41.7 per cent) and seed-stage rounds (2.3 per cent). Late-stage funding was absent during this period.

Sabine Hospital, Futura Surgicare, and Foxtale reported the biggest funding rounds of June 2024, while Merck Global Health Innovation Fund, Panthera, and Creaegis were the most active investors during the month.
