Manipal Hospital in Gurugram has introduced a new chemo daycare centre intending to offer a comfortable and supportive environment for patients undergoing chemotherapy treatment. A day-care centre for chemotherapy patients is a novel concept that offers patients the convenience of returning home on the same day of their infusion. In this day-care centre, patients do not need to use a hospital bed for their treatment; instead, they have the option to be comfortably seated on a private couch or in a shared lounge area with the capacity to perform multiple chemotherapies at a time.
This new facility will be supervised by a highly-skilled, experienced, and dedicated team of Onco Surgeons, Radiation Oncologists, and Medical Oncologists with extensive experience in administering cancer chemotherapy and treating patients. The Chemo Daycare is an integral part of Manipal Hospital Gurgaon’s comprehensive Oncology Department, which offers a full range of cancer care services, including medical oncology, surgical oncology, radiation oncology, haematology, bone marrow transplants, and pain management.
The chemo-cancer daycare centre will have a specialised team of doctors, including Dr Mohit Saxena, Consultant Medical Oncology; Dr K.C. Malik, Specialist Medical Oncology; Dr Anadi Pachaury, Consultant Surgical Oncology; Dr Sanjeev Kumar, Consultant Surgical Oncology; and Dr Vikas Chaudhary, Consultant Radiation Oncology.
