Marengo Asia Hospitals, Gurugram, has appointed Dr Pooja Wadwa as Clinical Director of Critical Care Medicine and ECMO Specialist. With over 12 years of extensive experience in critical care, Dr Wadwa’s addition to Marengo Asia Hospitals aims to enhance the hospital’s critical care services, benefiting patients and elevating healthcare outcomes. She has previously worked at Fortis Memorial Research Institute and is recognised for her expertise in ECMO and her contribution to raising critical care standards.
Speaking on the new role, Dr Wadwa said, “I look forward to contributing my expertise to further strengthen its critical care services, with a special focus on ECMO, which is a lifeline for patients with life-threatening heart and lung conditions.”
Dr Wadwa aims to play a pivotal role in advancing the hospital’s critical care infrastructure. A key focus of her leadership will be the integration of digital ICU technologies, an innovation that allows for continuous, real-time monitoring of patients using advanced sensors and remote capabilities.
During her career, Dr Wadwa has spearheaded several initiatives in critical care and ECMO, significantly improving survival rates and patient outcomes. Her work in developing ECMO treatment protocols has garnered widespread recognition.
