Apollo Sugar Clinics Ltd (ASCL), an innovative, single specialty diabetes and endocrine healthcare service provider announced its entry into Mumbai with the opening of four neighbourhood care delivery centres in Vile Parle, Kandivili, Chembur and Tardeo. The launch event was hosted by Sangita Reddy, Chairperson, ASCL and Joint Managing Director, Apollo Hospitals Enterprise , and Gagan Bhalla, Chief Executive Officer, Apollo Sugar Clinics, and graced by Dr Shailesh Ayyangar, MD, India & VP, South Asia – Sanofi, Dr Shashank Joshi, President, Indian Academy of Diabetes and Practicing Endocrinologist and Dr Sanjiv Shah, Board Member, Indian Academy of Diabetes & Indian Medical Association and Lead Consultant, Apollo Sugar Clinics Mumbai.
Apollo Sugar is equipped with a trained, experienced and compassionate team of doctors and multi-disciplinary care team members including specialised dieticians, educators, and diabetes trained nurses. Each neighborhood clinic ranges from 750 – 1000 sq ft and the larger formats providing advanced care have an expanse of 2000-4000 sq ft. The new centres offer access to Apollo’s clinical infrastructure, diagnostics, access to lifestyle management and patient support programmes through the use of advanced technology among many other associated services.

With the increasing burden of diabetes in our society, we need to act quickly. Apollo Sugar has therefore set foot in Mumbai to offer patients advanced care and counseling for diabetes. We aim to have many more centres spread across more neighbourhoods in Mumbai to ensure proximity of people with diabetes, to world class care.”
