The onslaught of pandemic has exposed the vulnerabilities in the existing commercial patterns. Moving forward, a forced but pleasant introduction of technology is bound to impact the business models. The After-COVID-19 era is likely to witness evolved business models that rely on maximising technology-based interactions and minimising the physical contacts. This digital transformation also likely to restructure the consumer preferences as well.
The healthcare sector in India – the land of Charwak and Sushruta – is also on the cusp of experiencing an exponential growth. The incorporation of technological advancements is further expected to fuel growth story of the sector while making it more accessible and affordable to the masses.
With an intent of maintaining the business and operational continuity of the critical healthcare sector in changing times, Confederation of Indian Industry – Western Region is organising CII HospitalTech 2020, a focused virtual event for Heathcare Sector from September 24 to October 8 2020.
This initiative succeeds the impactful CII WR Healthcare Conclave of 2017 and 2019 and will be organised under the aegis of Joy Chakraborty, Chairman, CII WR Task Force on Healthcare and Chief Operating Officer, P D Hinduja Hospital.
CII HospitalTech 2020 envisages at creating a dynamic, reliable and conducive platform for the convergence of all the stakeholders to forge the strategies that will positively transform healthcare sector. Ensuring humane and accessible healthcare solutions to the last mile through various advancements shall also remain a principle focus of the initiative.
The event shall be hosted on a secured, in-house, digital platform – CII HIVE. Advanced features of this platform such as live video calls, chat, etc. shall foster face to face virtual interactions between the participants and visitors. The platform shall also provide an opportunity to network and interact with the industry leaders on a real-time basis
CII HospitalTech 2020 shall feature:
Virtual Exhibition (September 24 to October 8, 2020) which will enable participants to display the prowess of their products, create partnerships and conduct business in a professional set up.
Digital Conference (September 24, 25 and 28, 29 2020) which will address various pertinent concepts and topics that are affecting and influencing the sector. With a focus on transforming healthcare digitally, the conference shall act as a credible medium to deliberate upon the opportunities, challenges, and best practices in the healthcare, pharma, medtech, healthcare insurance, healthcare financing, and many more relevant sub-sectors. The conference will also feature a session that will showcase the next-level innovations and technological solutions from Netherlands to usher in post COVID-19 era.
Series for technical webinars emphasising on various sectorial topics have been organised as a precursor to the main initiative.
CII HospitalTech is expected to attract digital convergence of top healthcare professionals comprising of ‘C’ level executives, decision makers, strategy and procurement heads, nodal government agencies, senior managers, R&D professionals, academicians etc. from across the globe.
Leading players from the sector like Beckman Coulter, Medica Bazaar, Philips, Samsung, Abbott, Dr L H Hiranandani Hospital, Fujifilm, Gettinge, Sanofi, Medtronics, Roche and Sanofi are already supporting this initiative as sponsors.
Apart from the sponsors, 100+ domestic and international companies are likely to participate at the virtual exhibition as exhibitors and are expected to display their 300+ products and services.
The event is supported by the Netherlands as a ‘Partner Country’. About 18 companies from Netherlands shall showcase their progressive offerings at the Dutch Pavilion at the Expo. The UK is also supporting this initiative.
Additionally, other relevant global entities are also likely to confirm their participation. Thus, the programme is expected to have the presence of international business delegations and active involvement of the entities from these regions.
