GD Goenka students to also be trained by top cardiologists of India
In an attempt to bridge the gap between the academia and the healthcare industry, GD Goenka University has entered into a landmark agreement with the Medanta Institute of Education and Research (MIER). The collaboration between the two organisations will help students of GD Goenka University to excel their theoretical knowledge with real clinical exposure under the aegis of top cardiologists and other medical professionals of Medanta-The Medicity.
The meeting was presided over by Dr Naresh Trehan, Chairman and Managing Director, Medanta-The Medicity and Nipun Goenka, Managing Director, GD Goenka Group. This collaboration was also witnessed by Rohit Gujral, Director, GD Goenka Group, Dr Pooja Sharma, Head-MIER and Dr Rohit Dutt, Associate Dean, GD Goenka School of Medical & Allied Sciences.
Under the terms of the MoU, the MIER will provide specific clinical exposure to the students of BSc Healthcare and Clinical Research, BSc cardiovascular Technology and D Pharm students. MIER officials authenticated the growing need of trained cath lab technician, clinical researcher in the present era of advanced medical practices. This collaboration will certainly contribute towards development of competent healthcare professionals with thorough knowledge of clinical procedures.
To take this association further, both GDGU and MIER would enter into a strategic partnership to promote and carry out further educational and research initiatives in health sciences.
