As per Tracxn report, funding in the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors surged to $135 million in August 2024, marking a 382 per cent increase compared to $28 million in July 2024. The latest funding total also reflects a 20 per cent growth from the $112 million raised in the same period last year.
The majority of the investments in August 2024 came from late-stage funding, which accounted for 62.2 per cent of the total. Early-stage rounds contributed 31.5 per cent, while seed-stage investments made up 6.3 per cent.
Among the top deals of the month, Jade Bioscience, Even, and Pharmazz secured the largest funding rounds. Venrock, SIDBI Venture Capital, and Khosla Ventures were the most active investors in the healthcare space during this period.
