Funding in the healthcare sector experienced a significant decline in July 2024, dropping 49 per cent to $27.8 million compared to $55.4 million in July 2023. This decline is even more pronounced when compared to the $183 million raised in June 2024, representing an 84 per cent decrease.
In terms of funding stages, the majority of investments in July 2024 were concentrated in early-stage rounds, accounting for 78.9 per cent of the total funding. Seed-stage investments made up the remaining 21.1 per cent.
The top deals of the month were led by Immuneel, Watch You Health, and Genworks Health, which secured the largest funding rounds. The most active investors during this period were Cornerstone Venture Partners Fund, IvyCap Ventures, and Huddle Ventures.
