Healthium Medtech, a global medical device company specialising in surgical and post-surgical products, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Healthcare Sector Skill Council (HSSC), a non-profit organisation supported by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), and other key healthcare bodies. This collaboration aligns with the “Skill India” initiative, a programme under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship aimed at bolstering the nation’s workforce.
Anish Bafna, CEO & MD of Healthium Medtech, highlighted the significance of the initiative, saying, “Healthium has always been dedicated to fostering excellence in healthcare by empowering professionals with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed. Through this partnership with HSSC, we are thrilled to extend our reach in skill development, focusing on creating practical, industry-relevant training that will directly impact the quality of care patients receive. By equipping healthcare workers with advanced, hands-on skills, we can help build a more competent and confident workforce, ready to meet the complexities of modern medical practices and deliver exceptional patient outcomes.”
The MoU was signed in New Delhi in the presence of senior representatives from both Healthium and HSSC. Through this partnership, the two organisations aim to create and deliver training programmes focused on skilling, reskilling, and upskilling healthcare professionals, equipping them to meet the evolving demands of the healthcare field.
Ashish Jain, CEO of the Healthcare Sector Skill Council, discussed the strategic importance of the partnership, noting, “Collaborating with Healthium Medtech aligns with our vision to strengthen healthcare standards in India by cultivating a skilled and adaptable workforce. HSSC is dedicated to building a skilled and competent healthcare workforce that meets the highest industry standards and is equipped to meet the evolving needs of the healthcare sector. Healthium’s commitment to innovation and quality training makes them an ideal partner in our mission to raise the bar for healthcare skills. Together, we aim to set a new benchmark for skill development, contributing to a stronger, more resilient healthcare system aimed at empowering India’s youth with employable skills across various industries and sectors.”
As part of this initiative, Healthium Medtech and HSSC will collaborate on creating training modules tailored to specialised skills in the healthcare sector. Healthium will conduct training sessions throughout the year, underscoring its commitment to enhancing healthcare workforce readiness. This partnership not only supports Healthium’s role in healthcare training but also reinforces HSSC’s mission to expand quality educational resources within India’s healthcare sector.
