The block setup would cost ₹ 1200 crores
Premier health institute JIPMER to set up a ₹ 1,200 crore multi-organ transplant block, said Puducherry Chief Minister V Narayanasamy. Speaking at a function, he said Puducherry had been marching ahead in all sectors particularly providing health care services and in maintaining law and order.
The centrally-administered JIPMER (Jawaharlal Institute of Post-Graduate Medical Research) would expand its services and the multi-organ transplant block would be set up soon at a cost of ₹ 1200 crores in Sedarapet, he said. CM Narayanasamy was speaking after felicitating Puducherry Director General of Police Sundari Nanda and other officials for the selection of Nettappakam Police station by the centre as one of the best maintained in the country.
