Nadda takes over the Health Ministry for the second time, having previously served during Modi’s first term in 2014
Jagat Prakash Nadda, former BJP chief, has been appointed as the 34th Minister of Health and Family Welfare in the Narendra Modi-led coalition government, succeeding Mansukh Mandaviya. This marks Nadda’s second term in this position, having previously served as Health Minister during Modi’s first term in 2014.
In addition to his role as Health Minister, Nadda has been appointed as the 25th Minister of Chemicals and Fertilisers. Nadda, with a background in law, has also served as the Minister of Health and Family Welfare and Parliamentary Affairs in the Himachal Pradesh Government from 1998 to 2003.
