Launch of CDSCO-WHO-BRIC THSTI webinar series for National and State regulatory authorities in India

CDSCO-WHO-BRIC THSTI regulatory webinar series is being rolled out as a virtual joint initiative to build capacity of regulators in India at central and state levels

The CDSCO-WHO-BRIC THSTI Regulatory Webinar Series for the National and State regulatory authority in India was launched on May 1st 2024.

The series was designed and developed by Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO),Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India in collaboration with WHO India Country Office (WHO) and Biotechnology Research Innovation Council (BRIC) – Translational Health Science and; Technology Institute (THSTI), Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India.

Dr Rajeev Singh Raghuvanshi, Drugs Controller General (India), Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation MoHFW Government of India highlighted during his Inaugural Address, “The Indian drugs regulatory agency, CDSCO developed a regulatory series focusing on training and implementation of WHO NRA’s regulatory guidelines as a virtual joint initiative to build the capacity of regulators in India at central and state levels” Dr Rubina Bose Deputy Drugs Controller (India), CDSCO outlined “This series offers a self-paced curriculum covering four essential regulatory guidelines 1) Good regulatory practices in the regulation of medical products 2) Guidelines for good review practices, 3) Quality management system requirements for Inspectorates and 4) WHO guidelines on quality management systems implementation”.
