Max Ventilator has launched multifunctional non-invasive (NIV) ventilators which come with inbuilt oxygen therapy and humidifier.
The new offering by the company is easy to use and lightweight and has multifunctional capabilities. The device is priced at just 25 per cent of the cost of traditional ventilators. It can be used for neonatal care as well as adult care.
Another prominent feature of the device is a special provision of connecting this device to ‘scavenging line’. Scavenging line carries expired gases, so it prevents other patients in the ICU getting affected from a severely affected patient. Every ICU has this line, so the outflow from the patient (exhaled air), is not discharged into the open air. This reduces the chances of infection.
The device helps in managing the excess gases produced so that they do not harm other patients in the ICU. There is a provision for adding oxygen composition from 31 per cent to 100 per cent through an internal blending feature. There is no cleaning required and the equipment can be used by a second patient.
