The portal allows individual and family floater policy holders to create their own personalised login credentials to access health benefits online
Medi Assist has launched Me.MediBuddy, a portal that allows personal and family floater health insurance policy holders to independently sign up for online access to their health benefits.
Reportedly, after signing up with their preferred login credentials on Me.MediBuddy, members can access their e-card, search network hospitals, track claims in real-time and also opt for an eCashless planned hospitalisation from their homes. With eCashless, Medi Assist members can completely eliminate wait time at the hospital by obtaining a provisional preauthorisation at least 48 hours prior to date of admission, claims a company release.
Satish Gidugu, COO, Medi Assist, said, ”Our corporate customers get instant access to health benefits with our MediBuddy online portal and mobile app. Retail customers, on the other hand, are widely distributed and are serviced via innumerable personal insurance agents. So, while technically retail policy holders also have access to the same channels of self-help, they are either unaware of their benefits or are unsure about how to get started. Me.MediBuddy changes the game by allowing members to create their own username and password and on-board themselves. And they can use the same credentials to access healthcare on-the-go using our MediBuddy mobile app.”
“Me.MediBuddy never forgets its users. Once you create your account, it remains forever, giving you access to current information and also, over time, building your electronic health records repository. This helps you track and manage healthcare spends and benefits utilisation more effectively,” adds Gidugu.
