MediBuddy launches networking platform to strengthen cashless primary healthcare

BuddyCare integrates insurance, providers, and technology to support India's 'Insurance for All by 2047' goal

MediBuddy has launched the India Health Care Collaborators (IHCC), a networking platform named BuddyCare, aimed at improving access to a fraud-resilient cashless network for primary healthcare. The initiative connects insurance companies, intermediaries, and providers to align healthcare delivery with technological and regulatory advancements, including the upcoming Insurance Amendment Bill.

BuddyCare offers insurers pre-policy issuance services, real-time risk quantification, and post-policy service delivery for health and wellness. Strategic partnerships have allowed MediBuddy to integrate fraud-resilient Outpatient Department (OPD) systems with intelligence frameworks for risk management, enhancing healthcare delivery and accessibility.

The platform comprises a network of over 100,000 doctors nationwide. MediBuddy employs tools such as the ‘Sherlock’ Fraud Detection System to ensure transparency and efficiency. According to Satish Kannan, Co-founder and CEO of MediBuddy, “The launch of IHCC represents a pivotal milestone in our journey to redefine healthcare delivery in India. By bringing together innovation, collaboration, and a steadfast commitment to quality, we are laying the groundwork for a future where healthcare is universally accessible, cashless, and seamlessly integrated with insurance.”

IHCC integrates life, health, and wellness insurance within a unified platform, expanding its reach across urban and rural India. The platform leverages AI-driven tools to enhance risk management and service delivery. It provides medical consultations, diagnostics, medicine delivery, and concierge support to meet modern healthcare needs.

MediBuddy has extended services to Non-Resident Indian (NRI) customers, supporting inclusive healthcare solutions. The platform’s commitment to social impact is reflected in nationwide paramedical training programs under its CSR division, aimed at strengthening healthcare infrastructure.

The initiative aligns with the national vision of ‘Insurance for All by 2047,’ combining technology, strategic partnerships, and customer-centric services to create a robust and inclusive healthcare ecosystem.
