The Nanavati Max Super Speciality Hospital, Mumbai has announced the launch of ‘Preventive Cancer Care,’ clinic as a part of its ongoing cancer awareness drive ‘Nidarr Hamesha.’ The hospital also launched a support group for cancer survivors, ‘Nanavati Max Saathi,’ and honoured over 15 cancer survivors for their successful battle against the disease.
Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan graced the event and addressed the gathering on the occasion alongside a team of renowned cancer specialists and top management of the hospital.
Speaking on the objective of preventive cancer care clinic, Dr Hemant Tongaonkar, Senior Director, Urologic and Gynaecologic Oncosurgery and Head of Surgical Oncology, Nanavati Max Institute of Cancer Care (NMICC), said, “Early detection is the key to elimination of cancer. The Preventive Cancer Care clinic will focus on early diagnosis and wide-scale screening and detection campaigns, backed by advanced tools in cancer research.”
