PD Hinduja Hospital & Medical Research Centre recently organised the 3rd edition of Healthcare Management Series “Redefining Healthcare – Value Based Delivery”. The event aimed to bring together all healthcare delivery providers under one roof to discuss healthcare trends, challenges and future. The two day conference was inaugurated by Usha Raheja, Board Member & Trustee, PD Hinduja Hospital and MRC. The conference comprised 30 sessions by 52 industry stalwarts highlighting different aspects of healthcare delivery and reportedly saw participation from over 200 delegates across India.
Addressing the conference, Chief Guest Dr Deepak Sawant, Minister of Public Health and Family Welfare, Government of Maharashtra said, “More hospitals and other players in healthcare sector should come forward to share, discuss and come up with suggestions to provide a more focused healthcare service. Forums like these are welcome as they set the stage for private and public players to work in synergy for the benefit of the patients.”

The CEO Forum consisted of a panel including Gautam Khanna, CEO, PD Hinduja Hospital & MRC; Prashant Jhaveri, President, Strategy at Medi Assist; Dr Sudhir Naik, President, Association of Medical Consultants, Mumbai and Director, Sree Guru Hospital & Oyster Hospital; Sushobhan Dasgupta, MD, J&J India & VP, Diabetes Care J&J Asia Pacific and Dr Girdhar J Gyani, Director General, Association of Healthcare Providers India (AHPI). The discussed on defining healthcare by creating value. They also highlighted the current healthcare scenario, issues and challenges as well as deliberated on the future of the Indian healthcare sector.
KPMG, PWC and IMS Health presented their white papers on Next Generation Care: Creating Value-Based Healthcare Organizations, Enterprise Performance Management in Hospitals and the New Frontiers in Healthcare Delivery and Innovation respectively.
