As per Tracxn.com data, 58.5 per cent of funding in Q12024 in early-stage rounds
Total funding in the healthtech, lifesciences and healthcare space was $180 million in Q1 2024, a slight drop of 4 per cent from Q1 2023, but a sharp decline of 70 per cent when compared with Q4 2023. This sector raised $187 million and $607 million in Q1 2023 and Q4 2023 respectively, as per Tracxn.com data.
In terms of stagewise funding, a majority of the funding (58.5 per cent) in the first three months of 2024 came from early-stage rounds, followed by late-stage (28.5 per cent) and seed-stage (13 per cent) investments, respectively.
On a monthwise basis, companies in the sector raised $58 million in March this year. The highest monthly funding in the last 12 months was observed in November 2023, ($503 million), while the lowest was observed in August 2023 ($8.8 million).
Zeno Health and Ultrahuman reported the biggest deals of Q1 2024, raising $25 million each. Blume, Lightbox, and Capital A were the most active investors during the period, participating in two rounds each.
