RHI’s initiative was not limited to product development but extended to identification and training healthcare centers
Religare Health Insurance (RHI), one of India’s leading standalone health insurers was awarded ‘Health Access Brand’ at the Indian Health and Wellness Awards, 2018 for its product ‘Grameen Care’ and its contribution towards achieving the vision of a healthy India.
‘Grameen Care’ reflects the organisation’s endeavor to ensure that low and middle income group citizenry residing in tier-3 and rural markets have access to an affordable health insurance coverage which safeguards them against financial burden from any health adversity.
RHI’s initiative was not limited to product development but extended to identification and training healthcare centers at village/tehsil level to render cashless services to customers – a first-time experience for many beneficiaries.
Mr Anuj Gulati, CEO and MD, Religare Health Insurance said, “The main strength of Grameen Care is that beneficiaries can avail cashless facility through a proximate network of able healthcare providers. It’s also specifically relevant as a credit protection instrument for customers of micro-finance institutions since it safeguards them from expenses arising out of a health adversity. We are pleased to have had successful implementation in key markets including Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, among others. This award is recognition of the belief and faith our associates and customers repose in us.”
