Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth inks strategic alliance with University of Leeds

The collaboration will involve development of collaborative research projects and organisation of joint academic activities

Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth,  today announced the signing of a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the University of Leeds, one of the largest universities in the United Kingdom.

 The MoU was signed by and between Prof. Hai-Sui Yu, Interim Vice Chancellor and President, University of Leeds and Dr Nirmal Coumare V., Director of Hospitals, Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth in the presence of Dr Prashanth Rajagopalan, Trustee, Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth; Dr Urjitha Rajagopalan, Trustee, Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth; Prof. Nihar Ranjan Biswas, Vice Chancellor, Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth and Ms. Asha K., General Manager (Admin), Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth.

 Commenting on the partnership, Dr Nirmal Coumare V. said, “This partnership with the University of Leeds is a significant milestone in our mission to provide high-quality education and professional upskilling that is both accessible and relevant to the needs of medical students.Together we are creating a platform for students to gain a competitive edge in the ever changing healthcare scenario.

 According to the statement published, this alliance aims to foster the spirit of academic cooperation and friendship. It will allow students to experience the best of both institutions in terms of providing the required focus on skills necessary to equip young minds to excel in the global marketplace. By offering study programs with faculty from both the University of Leeds and Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth, both institutions look forward to setting new benchmarks in the quality and delivery of higher education.

 The collaboration will involve development of collaborative research projects; organisation of joint academic activities like courses, conferences, seminars, symposiums and lectures; exchange of research personnel and faculty; placement and / or exchange of students; and exchange of publications and other materials of common interest.
