April 2 imarked as World Autism Awareness day, 142 countries show support every year to raise autism awareness. Ummeed Child Development Centres got some of Mumbai’s iconic landmarks to Light Up Blue for Autism Awareness. The initiative is part of a global movement to raise awareness on autism, the need for early intervention and support for children with autism and their families as acceptance is the greatest gift for them. The landmarks dressed up in blue were the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel, Royal Opera House, Jaslok Hospital, Sea Link, Jindal Mansion, Kalaghoda Statue, Reliance Foundation Hospital, Charkha Sculpture at Cross Maidan, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sanghralaya (CSMVS) Museum, Essar House, Express Towers and SRCC Hospital.
