The two-day programme on modern science of infection prevention and control was organised in a bid to improve patient safety
Wockhardt hospital, in association with Indian Medical Association (IMA) and Association of Medical Consultants (AMC), organised the fifth annual Infection Prevention and Control Conclave (IPCC). It was attended by over 500 participants including clinicians, nurses and hospital administrators.
The conclave dealt with a range of topics in infection prevention, which were put forth through didactics, panel discussions and workshops. The sessions were conducted by industry experts from across India and included speakers from Apollo Hospital, Breach Candy Hospital, Columbia Asia Hospital, DM Aster Hospital, Global Hospital, Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, Aster Medicity, Jehangir Hospital, Narayana Hospital, Sahyadri Hospital, Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital, and Wockhardt Hospitals.
The conclave was inaugurated by Zahabiya Khorakiwala, MD, Wockhardt Hospitals, and the Guest of Honour was Dr Girdhar Gyani, Director General, AHPI, in the presence of Anupam Verma, President, and Dr Clive Fernandes, Group Clinical Director.
Commenting on the initiative, Zahabiya Khorakiwala, MD, Wockhardt Hospitals, said, “Prevention is always better than cure.
