ZEE5 partners with Netmeds.com

This association will enable Netmeds’ customers access unlimited content choices on OTT platform

ZEE5, an OTT platform tied up with Netmeds.com, an e-pharma portal, to treat its users with exciting ZEE5 subscription offers. This will enable Netmeds’ customers to access unlimited content choices on the OTT platform.

After tying up with players across multiple sectors such as travel and payment gateways, this is a first for ZEE5 – partnering with health-tech company. With this association, Netmeds’ customers making a first- time purchase of medicines or non-prescription OTC products will receive a complimentary ZEE5 1-month premium subscription pack. In addition, existing Netmeds’ customers will receive a flat 30 per cent discount on any premium pack of ZEE5.

    I feel this is test case for disruptive VAS for patients / family  specially who regular purchase OTC products Cx (Medicated Shampoo/ Toothpaste etc) online. The idea is to hook them to digital entertainment service pack of Zee5. 
    The monthly renewal of the entertainment services will kick alarm bells for renewal of individual / family OTC product order. 
    Once this becomes routine , automatically this would spill to Rx orders especially for chronic disease like (Diabetes etc). Also a sick person (Chronic/ old) require some entertainment as means of engagement to pass time. This is good offering for this class. My 2 cents 🙂
