The launch event was graced by nutrition and gastroenterology expert, Dr Zamir Halpern from Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center, Israel.
SMART’s flagship product, the G-EYE endoscope, uses innovative balloon technology to uncover pre-cancerous polyps that are hidden behind the colon’s natural folds. Pricewise, Smart’s solution costs almost one fifth of the nearest competitor, which means it is highly affordable for the hospitals and patients alike. The company has additional balloon products under development and commercialisation, designed to allow standard endoscopes to access and visualise portions of the GI tract currently only accessible with the use of highly specialised equipment.
The G-EYE endoscopy technology also provides the ability to perform double balloon enteroscopy on-demand which means no prior preparations of the equipment or the patient is required.
