CARE Research’s quarterly update for the hospital sector reveal that the revenues of major hospital players have shown a consistent upside aided by higher occupancy rate. The performance metrics, Average Revenue per Occupied Bed (ARpOB) and Average Length of Stay (ALoS) have been stable.

CARE Research estimates industry growth to be stable as existing players acquire greater degree of operational scale and medical specialisation to meet demand for better services, despite relatively weak economy. However, the report states that there is a need for further investment and capacity addition in the hospital industry to meet the surging demand for better healthcare.
