Fortis Healthcare organised largest ever initiative to test cholesterol levels in NCR on World Heart Day
Fortis Healthcare organised the largest ever initiative to test cholesterol levels in the NCR region to beat heart disease. The awareness campaign, as part of the company’s CSR, generated an overwhelming response leading to a new Guinness World Records (GWR) record being set.
The free cholesterol tests were conducted at all Fortis Facilities and select SRL Labs in the NCR region covering Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida and Faridabad on World Heart Day. A total of 14,161 people starting from 18 year olds to Senior Citizens availed the benefit on World Heart Day.
By conducting 14,161 cholesterol tests across multiple locations in one single day, Fortis Healthcare set a new GWR record.
Dr Ashok Seth, Chairman, Cardiac Sciences, Fortis Escort Heart Institute said, “The motto of World Heart Day this year is One World, One Home, One Heart. Prevention of heart disease has to be on every family’s agenda. High cholesterol runs in families and to create awareness around early detection of high cholesterol is critical. It was heartening to see families turn up in large numbers following this awareness campaign to get their cholesterol levels checked. Dilli ka Dil jag gaya
