Nova Specialty Surgery, a part of Nova Medical Centers, will now be known as Nova Specialty Hospitals. This change is effective immediately. The rebranding of the 13 multi-specialty, short-stay surgical centers is aimed at facilitating the next phase of Nova’s growth, where each center will function as a ‘fully-equipped standalone’ hospital.
Suresh Soni, Chairman and CEO, Nova Medical Centers, said, “Healthcare is changing rapidly and so are consumer expectations. As part of our efforts to continuously meet these expectations, we recently conducted a study to understand the positioning and perception of brand Nova. The key insight we gained is that current as well as prospective patients perceive Nova as a premier hospital brand. Their expectations in terms of services offered, are also reflective of a boutique hospital with personalized service. Our objective is to align the Nova business model with these expectations, while retaining the core concept that Nova stands for. We want people to walk into a Nova center with the confidence that they are walking into a multi-specialty hospital that has highly experienced world renowned doctors, most advanced technology and an approach that puts the patient first. Our new name more accurately reflects towards achieving this goal.”
The company is all set to open its new surgical and IVF center in Pune soon. Nova’s infertility business, Nova IVI Fertility, is also growing rapidly with seven IVF centers operational and another three underway. It has also set up IVIOMICS India, a genetics laboratory for fertility-related genetic diagnostics that is the first-of-its-kind in India.
