UK Health delegation stresses on primary healthcare
The recently visiting UK Health delegation underlined the need for primary healthcare centres in India which could boost healthcare system in India which will boost healthcare outcomes and thus reducing the burden of in appropriate treatment and related high healthcare cost. It also applauded the Healthspring experiment in Mumbai.
The delegation, headed by Kenneth Clarke, Senior Cabinet Minister of UK, visited the Healthspring centre in Kemps Corner, Mumbai. The elite delegation comprising key stakeholders in UK healthcare were in Mumbai to explore possible avenue of collaborations to exchange best healthcare practices in both the countries.
Speaking on the occasion, Kenneth Clarke said, “We are impressed with the work being done by Healthspring offering in Mumbai and providing high quality and essential medical facilities. Proper and primary healthcare is the need of the hour to manage people’s health. We wish Healthspring the best and it and helps the community grows.”
