Buses to be used for transporting differently-abled school children and municipal school students
As a part of its CSR initiative, LANXESS has handed over two buses to the beneficiaries for transportation of government school students and differently-abled children in Nagda.
The donation was part of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects committed by the company for the year 2019-2020 under which five projects were implemented with an expenditure of over Rs 1.6 crores over the year.
LANXESS had received requests seeking support in providing better transport facility for the differently-abled and municipal school children as these students were finding it difficult to travel to school in the absence of comfortable and affordable transport facilities. The company acknowledged the need and donated two buses to SNEH Foundation and Shashkiya Kanya Shala.
The other four projects included setting up of a five-bedded Intensive Coronary Care Unit (ICCU) at Nagda Civil Hospital, installation of solar street lights in Durgapura and Mehatwas, installation of drinking water storages in Takrawda and Bhikampur and greening of the Chambal river bed.
Speaking on the occasion, Sanjay Singh, Site Head – Nagda, LANXESS India said, “LANXESS has always kept the interests of the people of Nagda in mind before undertaking CSR projects in the region. We look forward to more such projects in future and seek the local community’s support in bringing constructive change in the region.”
