Aims to support India’s ambitious dream of Ayushman Bharat and Universal Healthcare
The 25th edition of MFI 2019, kickstarted in New Delhi today. Global medical devices manufacturers, industry bodies and association, healthcare experts, think tanks and policy makers from over 25 countries are participating in this three-day medical trade show. MFI is organised by Messe Dusseldorf India.
Addressing Medical Fair India in a message, Jagat Prakash Nadda, Minister of Health and Family Welfare stated, “The Government of India, under the ambit of Ayushman Bharat is committed towards ensuring Universal Healthcare to all, a system which is devoid of any financial hardships and improving quality of life for people. I am confident that Medical Fair India will act as a platform for healthcare experts and stakeholders to share and discuss tangible solutions to diverse healthcare bottlenecks, challenges and issues of concerns.”
Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, Ashwini Kumar Choubey, in a message to MFI 2019 said, “The objective of the Fair is to see some of the key experts from the medical fraternity delivering inspiring talks and are also going to be conferred with awards for their valuable contribution to the healthcare field. I am confident that such recognition will not only give enough encouragement but will give new impetus in the overall growth of the healthcare sector while being mutually beneficial for the healthcare professionals who will congregate on the occasion.”

Addressing International Conference at MFI 2019, Rajiv Nath, Forum Coordinator, AIMED said, “With MFI 2019, we seek Medical Devices Law to regulate quality and ensure patient safety, revision of DPCo to enable rationalised price controls to protect consumers by capping trade margins over import landed, tariff at 15-20 per cent to be in line with mobile phone so that make in Indian can prosper along with other regulatory framework, favourable policies and ecosystem support.”
Day 1 of Medical Fair Indian witnessed eminent dignitaries from government, international agencies and associations, doctors from leading hospitals, health centres and other medical establishments, Non-Government Organizations (NGOs) for rehabilitation aids, pharmaceutical industry veterans, medical devices manufacturers, distributors and traders, academicians amongst other dignified stakeholders.
MFI 2019 is hosting a variety of attractions including CLIN LAB India, Future for Health (FTR4H), REHAINDIA and the Make in India Pavilion. Technology Mela by Kalam Institute of Health care technology where 75 innovative technologies from 20 academic institutions will be displayed for commercialisation are few key attractions of MFI 2019.
