Western Railways launches Namaste Health app for emergency medical support in Mumbai’s commuter network
The app, founded by renowned plastic surgeon and visionary Dr Anshuman Manaswi, offers real-time Instant video access to healthcare professionals during emergencies
Western Railways, Mumbai has partnered with Namaste Health to provide free emergency video call with the doctors from the railway platforms.
Free service of Namaste Health aims to revolutionise emergency medical access for Mumbai’s bustling commuter network. The app, founded by renowned plastic surgeon and visionary Dr Anshuman Manaswi, offers real-time Instant video access to healthcare professionals during emergencies.
The launch event recently happened in Mumbai in the presence of chief guests, Ashok Mishra, General Manager of Western Railways, and Niraj Verma, Divisional Railway Manager along with Shrimati Konda Anuradha, Principal Chief Medical Officer of Western Railways; Abhay Singh Chauhan, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager; Dr Jyotsana Arora, Chief Medical officer also attended the launch event in Mumbai.
Dr Manaswi said, “Namaste Health is a step towards making emergency care more secure, timely, hand-held, and accessible to all. With Western Railways’ support, we aim to help lakhs of individuals who depend on this network every day and face minor to major emergency health issues, especially during rush hours. Hundreds of lives lost in the first couple of minutes can be saved, and the golden hour best utilised with the collective effort of a smartphone equipped with the Namaste Health App, instant access to emergency doctors, and timely connectivity to hospitals. The seamless collaboration of all these stakeholders, along with ambulance services, is the key to success in this challenging endeavour of saving more lives in the immediate post-emergency period. Hundreds more patients with minor ailments will also receive correct guidance, which is equally important for proper recovery.”
