The conference covered debates and multidisciplinary panel discussions on key topics related to role of pharmacists and future of pharmacy
Aditya Birla Memorial Hospital organised the 7th National Conference on Pharmacy “ABMH Pharma Con – 2019” recently at Aditya Birla Memorial Hospital. The hospital also held a candle light vigil in association with Alcohol and Drug Information Centre (ADIC) to mark the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims at “ABMH-Pharma Con 2019”.
The two-day conference witnessed more than 400 participants including speakers and delegates from renowned hospitals, pharmacy institutions from all over India. Eminent Healthcare Executives mainly the Pharmacy Heads, Professors and Deans from renowned universities and hospitals like Annamalai University, St John’s Medical College Bengaluru, Mysore Medical College, ADIC, Kakatiya University, Vikas Institute of Pharmaceutical Science amongst others who actively participated and discussed various aspects of the role of the pharmacists in healthcare delivery.
During the two-day conference, various aspects of pharmacist’s role was discussed like ‘Need vs awareness of pharmacovigilance, Indian vs global scenario’, ‘past, present, and future of community pharmacy’, ‘dealing with drug misuse’, ‘myths and facts about herbal medicine’, ‘polypharmacy’ etc. The conference covered debates and multidisciplinary panel discussions on key topics.
