Admission is now open for B.Sc programme in Nursing at Amrita College of Nursing, Faridabad, a constituent unit of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham that is recognised by the Haryana Nurses and Midwives Council. With a built-up area of over 85,000 sq.ft, the nursing college is located inside the sprawling campus of the newly opened Amrita Hospital at Sector 88, Faridabad. The last date for admissions is December 27, 2022.
The four-year B.Sc Nursing programme is delivered as per the Indian Nursing Council syllabus, and is offered in eight semesters with foundational courses, core courses and elective courses. It adopts a credit system with a choice-based credit system applicable to the electives. The competence-based and outcome-based approach prepares graduates to provide safe and effective care to patients. Eligibility for admission is minimum 17 years of age on 31st December of the year in which admission is sought. The maximum age limit is 35 years.
The Amrita College of Nursing provides teaching-learning facility for students, including digital classrooms, advanced laboratories for courses related to Nursing Foundation, Advanced Nursing, Medical Surgical Nursing, Paediatric Nursing, Obstetric and Gynaecologic Nursing, Community Health Nursing, Nutrition, Preclinical and computer lab.
Apart from B.Sc, Post Basic B.Sc and M.Sc programmes in Nursing, postgraduate certificates and residency programmes in various clinical specialty areas will also be offered.
