In a strategic move, Apeejay Stya University (ASU)’s School of Pharmaceutical Sciences and PHDCCI recently signed an MoU facilitating collaboration in incubation of ideas, new product development, two-way knowledge-sharing, scale up & technology transfers, skill development and other areas.
Apart from knowledge dissemination through national & international guest lectures, workshops, conclave & seminars, it seeks to ensure industry readiness, internships & faculty development programmes. Among other things, it will be of major benefit to the students to enhance their skills & knowledge.
Sushma Paul Berlia, Co-Founder and Chancellor, ASU said, “Industry-academia interface has always been a focus area in our approach to education. The MoU with PHD Chamber would provide a formal basis for joint collaboration between industry and academia to develop required skills in a path towards excellence.”
At the MoU ceremony, Sanjay Aggarwal, President, PHDCCI, said, “Industry leaders’ knowledge through lectures, workshops, seminars and faculty development programs etc. will help academia to have the knowhow of industry’s requirements and will help in bridging the skill gap.”
Appreciating the efforts for joining hands together towards bridging skill gap, Nishant Berlia, Co-Promoter, Apeejay Stya and Svran Group and Pro-Chancellor of ASU said virtually, “This industry academia collaboration will serve as a platform for sharing knowledge and foster innovation”.
Saurabh Sanyal, Secretary General, PHD Chamber, Prof R. S Dhankar, Vice Chancellor, ASU and Dr Anupama Diwan, Dean, School of Pharmaceutical Sciences were also present for the occasion.
