API Holdings and VaccineOnWheels collaborate to distribute COVID-19 vaccines

50,000 Covishield doses to be given free of cost in Pune

API Holdings in partnership with VaccineOnWheels will be donating 50,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccines to Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) with a possibility of further donation based on the government requirements. The vaccination drive has commenced on 19th Feb, 2022.

On this social welfare initiative, Siddharth Shah, MD & CEO, API Holdings mentions, “API Holdings has always been committed to making healthcare accessible and affordable for one and all. Keeping in line with our mission, we will be donating 50,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccines, in collaboration with VaccineOnWheels, to the Pune Municipal Corporation. With this initiative, we want to supplement the Government of India’s efforts in their mission to vaccinate every Indian and empower them to overcome COVID-19. We believe that this will be yet another step towards putting the pandemic behind us.”

On the collaboration, Jigesh Patel, Founder and CEO, VaccineOnWheels stated, “It is an honour and privilege for VaccineOnWheels to partner with API Holdings and Pune Municipal Corporation in serving the underprivileged population and helping them get vaccinated for COVID-19. Under this initiative, API Holdings has donated 50,000 COVID-19 vaccine doses to Pune Municipal Corporation where these doses will be administered to the marginalised communities.”

In light of this activity, Dr Suryakant Devkar, Immunisation officer, Pune Municipal Corporation said, “With the ongoing situation of COVID-19, vaccination is the only way of putting the pandemic behind us. Through this thoughtful collaboration with API Holdings and Jupiter Hospital, we aim to contribute as much to people’s welfare and overcome the challenges of the pandemic. This initiative is a step closer towards a COVID-free India and we are delighted to be a part of the mission.”
